Description
The Olympic Discovery Trail (ODT) starts here in Port Townsend. When complete, you’ll be able to ride nearly 130 miles west to the shores of the Pacific Ocean at La Push, but this route offers a short, mostly flat eight mile from the picturesque Victorian seaport south on what’s known locally as the Larry Scott Trail–named after a local founder.
Begin at the boatyard in Port Townsend, on Admiralty Inlet at the NE corner of the Olympic Peninsula and follow the Larry Scott Trail south to the Milo Curry Trailhead. Turn left (heading east) on South Discovery Bay Road to the intersection with State Highway 20 at Four Corners.
Several options for a longer ride are available, but for safety reasons using Highway 20 is not recommended.
