Blog Posts – Bike Manners
Bike Manners is a category where we discuss the finer (and not so finer) points of courtesy, respect, and civility on the road and the trail. It examines the elements of an attitude we encourage all cyclists to cultivate and to demonstrate at all times.
It’s the foundation for “sharing the road” and one of the crucial things a cyclist can do to encourage a reciprocal attitude from others using the road or trail–perhaps most especially motorists.
It helps build and sustain the image and the perception of cyclists as responsible users of roads and trails.
We see Bike Manners as an essential, inseparable part of bike safety, but different enough to warrant its own category.
